What do you mean, 'will it fit?'

Dimensionally its the same as any other trigger. Only difference is pull/spring weight and the fact its a drop in trigger.

i ask the question because mag tactical refers to extended length pins.

The box will fit inside. The problem is the CMC doesn't have anything to capture the pins and relies on external clips to capture the pins. The extra width of the mag tactical lower will prevent the provided CMC pins from working.

A regular style trigger group will work better. I would look at Geisselle, RRA, or Armalite.

you're saying the cmc screws won't captur the pins and hold them in place?

Oh, I see. If the lower is a bit wider you could try KNS pins. They are a bit longer so they might work for you if you're dead set on the drop in CMC. Otherwise a standard style trigger with standard pins might be better.

bad part, already ordered the trigger before i found out about the pin extentions. can't seem to find any discussions about putting a cmc or timney in the mag tactical. guess i will call cmc and mag tactical tomorrow.

thanks for the replys

Because it's a screw design you could probably get by with just grabbing some longer screws at the hardware store.

I just bought a MAG Tactical lower.  It shipped with the extended pins to fit the larger bosses for the trigger.

ETA: my reading comprehension is obviously slower than my ability to type.  I didn't realize they were diff style pins.

i just felt like if there was a website where this had been talked about it would be here.

update, cmc knows there is a problem with the mag tactical, they have special pins for them. kns pins will work but the side plates will stick out.

I don't see how you can use KNS pins (I run them on all of my AR's EXCEPT my Mag Tactical AR)

KNS pins aren't long enough to protrude past the wider pin bosses on the Mag Tactical receivers, you wouldn't be able to connect the slotted side plate to the hammer pin.

Yep, KNS are a no go in the Mag Tactical lower.

Hi Bob --- Yes it will. You must purchase our Retention Pin set. You can buy that on our webstore.

I use a MAG lower but it has a mil spec style trigger system in it using the MAG supplied pins.  I also have a CMC drop in on my SPR and when I did the test fit before the MAG was built, I had decided that longer screws would do the job.  Not my first choice and maybe why I didn't do another drop in...

I have a Mag Tactical lower that I bought almost 2 years ago when they were first coming out. My Mil-Spec triggers didnt feel right in them so I have to switch for a drop-in. Chose CMC flat trigger and used the supplied longer pins from Mag Tactical. I have never had a problem with those pins sliding out on me.

I stand by my original comments.

Here is a photo showing the width of a Mag Tactical lower at the hammer Boss....

UNLESS they offer longer pins specifically for the Mag Tactical receiver, I think the individual from KNS doesn't have a clue....

As you can see from my photo of a KNS hammer pin it won't even protrude past the bosses on the Mag Tactical lower therefore it CAN'T engage the KNS side plates.

Just called CMC Triggers they have a great customer service. They are sending me pins for my Mag Tactical lower.  I am having my gun assembled by a gunsmith in Texas and he is actually using one of their triggers so they sent the pins free of charge.

Omg...this same issue held up my last build for almost two yrs. I lost interest after trying to find a geissele or other non boxed trigger for a good price. I have other guns to shoot. This build was supposed to be a LW 3gunner. Where is this on their webstore?

So these pins aren't retained by C-clips anymore?
