So I have a spare upper with a fixed carry handle, came off a Bushmaster I replaced with a flattop a while ago, thinking about 20" iron sight rifle.  Barrel suggestions?  Probably go with MOE furniture.

I like the green mountain barrels, but here's another option:

Green Mountain barrels are highly recommended.  My 5.56 AR, with its 1in8, 20" govt profile, CMV barrel by GM routinely puts 10 rounds (53 grain Matchkings) into less than an inch at 100 yds.  Given their price and chrome lining, you would think they would be run of the mill, but not so.  GM has a long track record of producing match winning black powder barrels and it shows in their military line. - CW

PS:  If you plan on shooting bullets heavier than 70 grains, I recommend the 1in7 twist option

So what are your plans with it? Plinking, varmit, match shoots?

Will you be reloading? What grain of bullets do you plan on shooting?
