I have a LaRue LT15-11 on the way and have a question about gas block clearance. The research I've done so far suggests the Vltor or DD clamp on gas blocks fit under the rail, however the rail cannot be passed over the block so it has to be installed after.
For anyone thats been down this path, is there any particular reason you couldn't open up the cutout in the rear of the handguard just enough to clear? I know I can use a set screw version or simply cut down my A2, but I would rather do a clamp on if at all possible. Thanks... |
