Just a little background, I've built probably half a dozen ARs to date, I know them pretty well but they've all been k.i.s.s. style builds with irons and standard handguards so I'm not used to all the bells and whistles. I don't want to spend $2000 but I'm not trying to cheap out either. I don't mind buying a few things at a time so I can afford better parts.
The only parts that I'm dead set on are a Noveske CHF 16" middy barrel, a keymod handguard, likely a KMR and a BCM Gunfighter charging handle. I'd like to throw a KAC part or two in also just because, probably the micro buis. Everything else is up in the air, I'm especially lost on an upper, lower, BCG and muzzle device. I appreciate any tips. Thanks. |

The heart of the rifle is the barrel and you've already chosen that.
About the only remaining part which will have an impact on "quality" is the trigger. For a SHTF/HD/"working" gun the Geiselle SSA is the go-to trigger. One of the ALGs if you want to save a little. |

They are two stage aren't they? |

If you already have an ALG and like it, I'd stick with that.
The upper receiver isn't a big player either so I'd get one from BCM. I'd also get a BCM BCG. Now, if you were to rethink that barrel and get a complete BCM (keymod in your case) upper with a CHF barrel, the BCG and compensator are "free". |

| Id go with a naked bcm chf upper with their bcg and get whatever handguard, muzzle device, charging handle and sights you want. The noveske chf barrel brings nothing more to the table other than cost (in this case). Or get it it all in a simple package and just get a chf kmr upper and save money along build time. |
