[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel Nut question

I have read a lot of reviews on various websites and most say avoid all of them but Colts. I have gotten some from Brownells but they are usually of of stock. I haven't looked today, but are there any standard nuts that are gtg? I usually use Troy Alpha's but I may use another type like MI that use their nut. Any suggestions?

If you're going to use a MI handguard, it comes with a barrel nut.

I used a DSArms barrel nut with no problems.

There are plenty of good barrel nuts. Every proprietary nut I have used from a know mfg has been absolutely fine
