Reviews from 2-3 years ago were mixed, but they have improved significantly. Most current reviews are on their 300 Blackout barrels, and those are uniformly good. Low price doesn't mean low quality, I think your GTG.
If your looking for alternatives, you might try Green Mountain.

I just met the SOTA people this past weekend.  Ended up picking up a 7.5" barrel from them.  Very impressed them as people, but my first range trip will determine how they are as a company.

I have no experience with Sota.  But I notice somebody suggested Green mountain.  They are good barrels.  Especially for the money.  M4 barrel for $129 right now.  That is a good purchase for the budget minded.  Best of luck whatever you choose.  Sorry I can't comment on Sota.

SOTA makes good barrels. Had one of their 300 blk barrels and shot great for the price. I would recommend either SOTA, Green mountain, or AR15.com store barrels. All shoot good for the price.
