been looking at a quality trigger group for awhile now, and the whole 'drop in' trigger seems like a kick ass idea with form and functionality being the key. however everyone i've seen keeps saying to get the Giessle SSA.. i get they make awesome triggers, but what separates them from the rest.. is it the break, the feel, the 2-stage.. simply the name?

follow up,, what makes a 2-stage so good, and what are the primary uses for a 2-stage trigger over a single stage?

follow up. what designates a 'precision trigger' it seems like anything with less than a 4.5 lb pull has precision trigger stamped all over it.

thanks in advance guys.

Well I'll chime in with everyone else and say get the SSA. They really are amazing triggers.

As far as what is the benefit of a 2-stage trigger? The fact that it has 2 stages. When you start the trigger pull, you can "pre-stage" by gently pulling through the first stage, then when you 'feel' the start of the second stage, you know you are only a crisp break away from firing. It allows for a more precisely controlled trigger action.

trigger control is the key to hitting the target over and over again in a super accurate manner.

If you are just out shooting tin cans, a milspec trigger is fine.

there are some nice singe stage triggers that are super accurate also.

I would shoot someones rifle before making a decision. Ask around at your gun club.

Everyone does not say to get the SSA, but damn few if any will say it is a bad choice if your weapon is for SD/HD/SHTF.

I have a Wilson Combat drop in trigger that is I believe 4 lb single stage.  It has yet to disappoint.
