Alright dudes. I need some serious input here. I have a BCM 14.5 kmr upper. I'm trying to decide between building a lower, with a mega forged lower, ALG defense trigger group, and spikes LPK with no FCG, or a BCM complete lower with gunfighter stock. The BCM complete lower comes out to be $70 more than the mega build. so the big Question.....is the BCM complete really worth the extra money???

Just depends on what you like. Me personally I would get the BCM lower and have a matching BCM rifle. No real reason, just to do it.

I'd like to say that I have a matching rifle as well. that being said, The gun will be run hard. I know the reputation of Mega and BCM is great. I was just curious to see if you guys truly felt going with the complete lower was an overall smarter choice to get the most reliable performance out of the rifle.

I don't think you can go wrong either way performance wise

Hard to say, as we don't know what your skill set is, and if you really know what you're doing when putting a lower together. Yes, pretty much anyone can bang an LPK into a stripped lower, but the guys at BCM build guns that peoples lives depend on every day, and they damn well know what they are doing down to the smallest detail. If that is worth piece of mind to you, I would highly recommend buying the complete lower from BCM.

Also, you didn't say what receiver extension, buffer, and spring you would be using in your Mega build. The ones in the BCM lower will be high quality mil-spec stuff, and you will probably find that if you use the same components in your build the price will be much closer.

I priced it out using a bcm reciever extension kit with a bcm QD swivel end plate, and gun fighter stock mod 0. The rifle will go through at least 5 carbine courses this year.
