What do you guys know/think about this barrel? Mega what would you say about Mega if you were to compare it to Rainier Arms?

Thanks!

I like the idea and I should/might someday, but realistically not anytime soon.
I am new to gun world. I shot before, but at this scale and this is going to be a first firearm I own.
So maybe by the time I'll get to competing, I should build one more dedicated to it.

Both of those are considered high end. They are both GTG. If it's a precision rifle BCG and other parts will be needed upgrade over bone stock mil spec.

I would not start with a high end barrel, not knowing what I want.  It says guaranteed to shoot 1 inch at 100 yards with match ammo. Well that's real easy to do with most barrels using match ammo.

I'd do a lot more research before starting with that.  18 inch barrels are not even long enough to shoot service rifle classes. They start at 20. There are a million types of competition out there... don't commit your first rifle to one thing. I'd start with a simple 16 incher, with average parts and you will get pretty tight groups if you reload.

Join a range and find out what you want to do first.  Hell, you don't even have to build a AR to join a range and figure it all out.

Accurate guns are just more fun to shoot. Go with the RA barrel of the two. Wylde chamber with 1:8 twist SPR barrel will serve you very well. Put some money into a good match trigger and a good 15" free float modular handguard and you should end up with a real sweet shooter. Top it with some quality optics and you'll have a rifle to brag about. Feed it some good 69 or 77 grain match ammo and enjoy how boringly accurate it shoots.

I also grabbed an RA barrel for my self.
