I have a Colt 7.62 x 39 Sporter and want to replace receiver with a flat top. Can
I use any receiver or does it have to be specifically for 7.62?

I'll have to take a few and repost. It's an original Colt Ar-15 Sporter in 7.62, pre ban. Bought it
just before Clinton put the ban on them.....Thanks for the info too, I appreciate it!

Out of curiosity, how is the bolt holding up? Do you have any idea of round count?
People constantly talk about weak bolts

No BS, I've shot over 2,000 rounds with never a single jam.

Ok, new flat top receivier was a total success thanks to Yankee Hill. Next
on the list is sights/optics. I kept the original A post front sight, so I could use
some pointers on a good flat top rear sight that will work with my stock
front sight. Haven't decided on a scope yet, bey I want it to work with my
open sights so I'll have to get a see thru scope mount high enough for
the sights.
