Well it's almost done, just need my charging handle and muzzle device to get hare and it will be done.......for the most part. There will always be some little thing I want to add, lol.

The mods I have in mind to resolve this issue are noted, opinions or ideas are appreciated, thanks.
The issue is the mount lever being able to close enough to lock. With the rear sight in place and the scope mounted in the best place for me, the lever wont close enough to lock. I could mill a "relief groove" in the sight mount to allow enough clearance. My other options are to get a Riser Mount and see if I can mount the sight under the riser, or just remove the iron iron sights......last option. If anyone has a better idea my ears are open. Buying a new scope and mount isn't an option.  </a>" />

Or the levers themselves may be reversible, and if the cam is turned around, close forward instead of back towards the rear sight? The base is bolted to the scope but if I reverse it, it will just put the scope 1/2 inch forward, which defeats the purpose. Good idea though, I hadn't thought about that.  " />

| Nice rifle ...but...you cheaped out on irons and optic. That is where the problems begin. The optic is junk as are your 45degree irons. Why are you running 45 degree irons? Is this for 3 gun? You spent good money on the weapon...now you need to save up for good optics. |

trust us NcStar = junk, just like Barska, Tapco, etc.
It's really funny how you spent the money on a Wilson Combat match grade barrel but paired it with an optic that will lose zero within 5 shots. For red dots, look at the following: Bushnell TRS-25 Vortex Sparc II Vortex Strikefire II Burris AR-332 (3X magnification) Any Primary Arms Microdot For your application, I think a 1-4x scout style scope would work best for you. Get a decent mount or rings (Burris AR PEPR, Nikon P-Series, Leopold rings, Warne rings. etc) Burris MTAC / Fullfield TAC30 (same reticle as their AR-332) 1-4x24 Vortex Crossfire II 1-4x24 Nikon P-300 2-7x32 w/ BDC All decent choices that you can find good deals on opticsplanet, midway, ebay, etc. Do some more reading and shopping as you probably did when you put together your gun... it's a shame to waste a WC barrel with a NCStar "optic" |
