I wanted to use a UTG super slim in 13" on my first build in FDE but it seems they wont be producing it anytime soon.
Can the forum come up with some other handguards that fit this criteria? Build has a 16" barrel with a mid length gas system. Want the gas block to be covered. 12.5 to 13" FDE Not break the bank. $150.00 or less if possible. This is where I am sitting at now. Was hoping I could swap out the UTG super slim installed (9" black) with a 13" in FDE so wouldn't have to change the barrel nut.  " />

Midwest Industries has one very close. The SS Gen II handguards come with a few extra rail sections and they do come in FDE.
http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=450 The 12 " handguard is about $180 though and the 15" $190 - kind of pricey. Still though, I'm seriously thinking about springing out the extra cash for one of the 7" ones for my 7.62x39 build. |
