Probably a dumb question, but I am curious:

When you guys are going to Cerakote a new build, do you assemble the entire thing, run some ammo through it to make sure everything is working well, and then take it apart and have it Cerakoted?  Or do you just Cerakote it from the beginning?

Thanks

Since we’re on the cerakote subject (not to thread jack)

My first one here is a PSA kit (less lower) that I assume will be black (anodized ?) when and if it ever gets here.

1.What Cerakote black will be the best match for my raw lower? .... looks like theres more than one
2.Or would it be best to paint the upper also? ….. If doing both I would probably go the dark grey.

Its just that id like to order the cerakote soon … Id like to get it together

Thanks

Matching any paint to a black anodizing would be difficult. Color, texture and sheen comes into play here.

I would choose your color and coat both the upper/ lower and possibly the rail also.
