do standard mil-spec collapsible buttstocks fit the Vltor A5 7-position receiver extension?
I want to get the Vltor A5 7-position receiver extension and corresponding recoil buffer and spring, but I don't want the Vltor Emod buttstock... |

Quoted:
The magpul acs fits also, but most stocks will not collapse fully, only 6 positions This. Any mil-spec diameter buttstock will work, however you will have about a 1" gap between the lower receiver end plate and the buttstock when fully collapsed since the a5 tube is longer than a carbine tube. May bother some, not me. |

The good thing about the A5 is It uses a Rifle Buffer Spring and the A5 Buffer weights about the same A2 rifle buffer The A5 stock was a little butt heavy for me, but well built. I went back to the LMT SOPMOD on the A5 extension. SOPMOD on an A5 extension is about as good as it gets IMHO. |
