Range report. Using 55gr reloads with 25gr h335 it shorts strokes when gas is set to the suppressed position. I did not have factory ammo to test. Damn that is my standard load. Do I have to load them hotter to cycle properly or will it break in . When gas is set at 12 o'clock works fine, is that over gassed when suppressed and is there any harm done ? |

Have not shot with the suppressor yet, this weekend if all goes well. Adams Arms 11.5 upper. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/3ih5a843hvnhkoo/SBR.jpg What kind of suppressor is that? Allen Engineering? |

Overgassed is often subjective. Does the brass go flying into the next county? Does the gun run rough? I'm going to guess not, because you're running a .30 cal suppressor. Adams' suppressed setting is for running a 5.56 gun with a 5.56 suppressor. Your larger caliber suppressor probably doesn't give enough back pressure to run with the suppressed setting. |

I didn't think about that, thank you. Ill give Adams a call. Next trip Ill bring factory ammo for testing as well.

Update: faculty ammo all is good when gas is set to supressed. Reloads when the gas is set on non-supressed (or full gas) for reliable cycling, the shells all land in the same spot as factory, around 3oclock. Im going to call it good. Quoted:

Sounds like it's good to me. |
