Bought a Nickle Boron BCG from here over memorial day cause of the sale, I was getting other parts also. That being said came in the mail yesterday and took it apart just like any good prior service member would. But I was pretty shocked the BCG has carbon baked spots all over it. Is that right? Never had a NiB BCG before and don't know. I rather ask a dumb question than debate it with myself. I just figured it would be clean, nothing is ever as shinny as the pictures show, but still. I'll get home tonight take some pics of it again and post them. |

Finally got some pics. Really hard to get them in this lighting. Just want to be corrected if I'm wrong, but should a brand new bolt have carbon baked around the bolt face, the grooves, on the firing pin?

http://www.riflegear.com/p-1782-riflegear-nickel-boron-bcg-fa-hp-mpi-tested.aspx When I bought both my XDm's I had the spent casing. I get that.. No paperwork or anything with this. E-mail the company yesterday haven't heard anything. Tomorrow when time permits I'll be calling. I want to get better pics, one of the guys in my office told me I was being critical and anal. I said, "You were in the air force do you even know how to load a rifle?" Anal or not, just want to get what you pay for. ohrah.thanks for the feedback. |

I will say that my NiB'd ones do clean easier. One of my newer ones looked like that after only around 20 rounds. |
