So I just bought a Daniel Defense M4 barrel with the FSB already installed.  Do I have to remove the FSB to install the barrel or can i jimmy the gas tube around while installing the barrel and barrel nut?

Install the gas tube and gas tube pin after you tighten the barrel nut and have it aligned with the tube. You can hand tighten the barrel nut and see that you can insert the gas tube almost completely into the upper with the BCG removed.

I'm was assuming the barrel nut is already installed, if not you will need to removed it to install the barrel nut.

This is a good series on gun assembly

Unfortunately no the barrel nut isn't already installed.  I bought everything separate.

How were you planning on getting the barrel but around the FSB?

A post I found said the tapered pins are shipped loose enough to remove easily. Drive the pin small end toward the big end.
