[ARCHIVED THREAD] - AR 6.5 Grendel Build

I just bought a Spikes Tactical Stripped lower. Was going to put a Spikes Tactical Enhanced Lower Kit on it and buy an Alexander Arms 24" 6.5 Grendel Upper. Purpose of the rifle will be long range shooting/hunting. Anyone have any thoughts of specific parts or better ideas on what to do.

This is my 2nd build as I built a YHM AR last year. Didn't seem too difficult except for barrel installation that I couldn't do myself but had a gunsmith do it.

I don't know a whole lot about the 6.5, but you may want to look into the performance from that length barrel. You may actually be better off with a 22' or 20' barrel, At a certain point your getting diminishing returns on velocity and performance.
