well I got my lower completed, got a blessing Spikes St15, put a ptac LPK in it and an MOE milspec stock. looking at Uppers now... thought I might try to build an upper, but seems like the little research that I have completed I can buy a complete cheaper... Looking at PA for around $400 or Spikes for around $530...is the Spikes $130 better? I kinda like the idea of upper matching my lower, but $130 can buy accessories if it's not that big of a difference... thanks in advanced guys!

Ryan problem i have with a complete upper is that it is never exactly what I want. Building lets me customize to exactly what it is I want/need. That and building is fun. All but one complete upper i have bought i have ended up taking apart and modifying in some way. |

this is my first AR, so i don't really have any preferences, I guess I wil learn from this one for my next one... Built it.. after building several now .. when I look at complete pre made uppers all I see is cheap attempts of garbage. Its way more fun and ya you get exactly what you want! |

Ig uess I need to do a little more research to see exactly what I want then, I'm new to the game, haha... trying not to spend more than $600, I'm in at about $200 so far... Start by asking here, and from experience, the first thing everyone will want to know is your intended use of the weapon (range plinker, home defense, match/target, etc.) |
