Hopefully I'm in the right forum here.  I just received a new rifle from PSA.
I've had some goodies here waiting on it, including a single point sling
adapter.  Well, the castle nut on the buffer tube is staked.  With the lower
in a bench vise, I managed to snap my DPMS spanner wrench in half.

The videos I watched on youtube didn't seem to make it look all that
difficult.  Do I simply need a tougher spanner wrench or am I going about
this in the wrong manner?  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

It may be glued as well. But normally you just need a decent wrench. If you have a larger bbl wrench with the spanner on the back that works well for taking them off.
