Hi all,
I recently built an AR for a friend on an anderson manufacturing lower, and was so impressed with the quality and finish for the price.  I had to order one of those cheap lowers that evening, along with the rest of the parts needed that i listed below. Anyways I'm super excited, and i will definitely post pics when its all done. Its now turning into an addiction instead of a hobby. This was a test to see how cheap I can build a 16". Everything is ordered, i should have everything within a week or so.

Anderson manufacturing lower $56.99 shipped (palmetto state armory)
Black hawk LPK $36.99 shipped (palmetto state armory)
6 pos stock, buffer tube and spring $39.95 shipped (amazon.com)
PTAC 16" complete upper with bcg $304.99 shipped (palmetto state armory)
FFL transfer $30

Grand total : $468.92

What do you all think?

So the Anderson Mfg lower seems to work/fit well? I was tempted to get one of tiers a couple months ago because you can't beat their price most the time, but couldn't find many people with actual experience with them.
Sounds like a good budget build! My next build will be a budget build with the exact same parts you're using, and will make for a great cheap rifle to beat up or keep in the truck.

yea the LPK went in smooth, and the upper mated perfectly with the lower. i couldn't have been happier with the results. so thats why i pulled the trigger and went ahead and ordered 1. I will post pics along the way

I love mine. I have an Anderson lower, upper, bcg, and flash hider on my home defense carbine. Haven't had any issues with any of em. Only thing i'm unsure about is the bolt carrier. The staking on the gas key is kind of pathetic. Haven't had any issues with it yet tho thankfully

I think you did great, I did a budget build with an ATI kit, you still beat me by $80.  If you want to trim it even more you could find a cheaper FFL.

Unless you post some pics you didn't build it.

I like it.  I have done something similar.  Don't forget to add a magazine and rear sight (under $20 on Amazon) to your price.
Post pics when you are done.  I have the same upper on order and I already have the other parts I need.
I love cheap AR15s (this will be my second one for under $500).
