Howdy,
As the title says, this is my first build. Being that I live so close to Armalite (and a number of other AR manufacturers...) I wanted to buy local... So far I have an Armalite SPR Mod 1 stripped lower, and Armalite C.O.P. upper, a "Don't Tread on Me" dust cover, and an Armalite M15 BCG... 
I plan on going with a heavy profile 16in threaded barrel, don't know which muzzle device I want to go with yet...I am thinking some sort of muzzle brake first/ with some flash hider function. Still up in the air as to what type of trigger I want on this one too, I'd like to go higher end but have no hands on experience with different options... (I have another Armalite M15 and a AR10T with National Match triggers) I'm also undecided what to do as far as optics... I know I want irons, but I think I want a 1x4 or something similar because I see this rifle being used from 50ish yards to 200-300 yards... I have the other M15 setup with an Eotech XPS-2 for my 0-100 yard needs, and the AR10T is for 200 yards plus.. 
I have spent hours upon hours reading other's builds and am grateful for the knowledge shared here, maybe a punk like me can build a decent rifle with all of your input.. Will update as I get parts... |
