Had a friend up from Ft Stewart to pick up a 9mm upper I built who wanted a quick pin and weld on a 14.5 inch barrel and thought it would work with a standard A2 flash suppressor......put the 16 inch check rod in to show him and he was very dissapointed......soooooooo thought about it for a little and made a small spacer....put it between the barrel and crush washer......turned out pretty good......

Here it is just tightened up

and here it is after the weld (intentionally left proud by request) and a little cerokote

Nice. I had to stack shims and a crush washer to get a KAC NT4 flash hider out to the legal length. With I had a machine shop handy to make stuff like spacers.

Where in Ga are you....My shop is right off I-475 in Macon............drop by and I'll introduce you to the dark side of gas operated pistol caliber AR's. Just put in a Haas CNC lathe and mill to allow for a significant increase in production.
