Definitely a beginner when it comes to ARs, but looking into building my first AR15. Looking for some tips/ideas on the build.
This is what I have come up with so far: Lower: NATMIL stripped lower receiver got it pretty cheap of gun broker (only thing I have boughten so far) CMMG lower parts kit MAGPUL stock If understand correctly I will also need a buffer kit. Any recommendations on those? Upper: Quentin Defense Upper: Seems like a good deal for around 100 bucks. BCM Bolt carrier group and charging handle Barrel: Not really sure what I am going to do here, but willing to spend a little more money on a barrel. Probably going with a mid length gas system. Thinking about going DD. Thoughts? Rail: Looking for some impute here. Whats a good price to pay for a rail? If I go ahead with DD barrel is it recommended to go with a DD rail? Gas tube and block: Does the brand matter on these or do I look for where I can get them cheapest? Sights: I wil probably just get some sort of Iron sights. Any recommendations? ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ How does that look for a start? I am willing to spend money on things that are important, but would like to save where I can. Any good websites to find deals? I really want to be sure that I'm not forgetting anything and everything will work together. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to the process of putting it all together.
