Hey guys I'm looking for a Lower Parts Kit.... But I don't need a trigger.. I don't need a grip... and I plan on buying an Ambi safety... With that said, how can I go about getting this for as cheap as possible? If I buy them all individually it will add up to the cost of a complete LPK, does anyone know a solution to this?
Should I just buy a CMMG LPK and sell off the trigger and grip? how much would a CMMG trigger group sell for anyway? Hopefully someone can help or shed light on the situation, thanks guys. |

I think it might be tough getting one without a grip and trigger. I found the following:
http://www.rogtac.com/spike-s-tactical-lower-parts-kit-without-fc-trigger-group.html http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/JP_Lower_Receiver_Parts_Kit_without_Trigger_Parts_p/jp-lpk-ltg.htm http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/parts-kits/psa-classic-lpk-w-o-fire-control-group.html If you got a complete LPK you would probably be able to sell the fire control group for $25 if it's from a good manufacturer. Example I would personally try to find a good deal on a quality LPK and then sell off the fire control group. grip and safety on the EE. You might be able to get $35 if you are lucky. |

Example Hey thanks buddy! The Joe Bob and Palmetto both are good choices. I'll have to keep them in mind, I've looked around and found a few out of stock ones such as at primary and stuff. Does anyone know any particular website which lets you pick and choose parts for an order? like "front pivot detent, buffer retainer," and ship it all at once? I think I'm asking too much for that though haha. Currently I have a DPMS LPK with Geissel trigger on one of my rifles but even the safety selector on that isnt very firm and 'clicky'. I guess that would be a problem with the spring under the grip right? ETA: thats great advice on picking up a complete LPK, I may have to do just that. Its a shame I missed those cyber monday $50 CMMG sales. Thanks for all the advice! |

JP Lower Parts kit - without trigger
This is a quality kit without a trigger. Any AR15 trigger will work with this kit. |

Well,
Just buy a good lpk, toss the extra parts in your parts bin... I keep 3-4 full lpks in stock all the time... If you end up with a whole bunch of something after your builds...sell them on the EE I sold some things on there...had a big box of a2 grips... B |

Then it cost the same as a complete CMMG on sale You can ship a LPK for $3 USPS, why must these companies profit off their shipping. |
| PSA has this one for $39.99. I know if you look around WOA has one less the FCG for the same price. I know some of the shipping prices bother people but just try plan out your orders from companies when you can to save money. Remember they have to pay some one to package and ship them as well. But not to start a debate shipping cost there are LPKs less FCG to be had for sub $40 out there. |

Some of them do it out of simplicity, I cant imagine JP sells a lot of parts kits. Might be worth calling them and seeing if that is a option for shipping. Just because the webstore is defaulted to UPS/Fedex doesnt mean they wont ship it otherwise. Worth a call at least. |

You can get the same kit from Joe Bob Outfitters If you spend over $90 you get free shipping. You will need a buffer, buffer spring, buffer tube, receiver end plate, castle nut, buttstock, trigger to complete the lower. So bundle altogether had save money. Not all companies profit from shipping. Many only UPS which costs more. I would only ship from UPS if I owned a company. You get a tracking number and $100.00 of free insurance. $12.00 is about what it costs even for something small when using UPS. From a business stand point, USPS is unreliable, slower, no insurance and no proof of delivery. It does cost the company money for the box, shipping materials, time to attach a label, etc. |

Or get the cmmg. What is the cost for shipping on that? |

I went through the exact same issue on my second build, so got a oops kit that had enough springs and detents for two lowers for 15$ then purchased the safety, bolt stop and mag release with parts needed, then got the grip and two stage Stag Arms trigger that I wanted, everything together about 150$...
The other guys gave you a bunch of good sources, I got my metal parts from White oaks Armament, nice parts and only what I needed. Have fun with the BRD...... |
