I have a new muzzle break that I need to install, hand tight the top sits at 3:00. I need to turn it 3/4 turn to the 12:00 position, the crush washer gives about 1/4 turn with "reasonable torque" I have a barrel extension torque tool on the way from Brownells before I go bubba on this. Just want to make sure it's ok can turn it that much?

I have a couple of these to install

3/4 turn should be fine.

Tighten1/4-3/8 of a turn then back off and take another run at it back off and on. Don't try to get it all in one shot or you'll most likely wind up with a docked crush washer at the last and a little grease or anti size won't hurt to use either.

I like to use peel washers instead of crush washers.

A crush washer is good for over 360 degrees of "crush" so don't be afraid about over tightening it.

This is good advice too.

Great, thanks for the help!

You can also lap your crush washer on sandpaper or a diamond file if you are uncomfortable with the torque.  Depending on the application, tension on the barrel threads can affect accuracy.  Sometimes for the better, sometimes for worse.

This. Use something really flat and some 320 grit automotive sandpaper. Take a little off at a time and check it.

Great information here.
Question - Is it typical to have to time the Kx3?

Why would you use a barrel extension tool for this?  That tool is for torquing the extension and if you go ape with it, you can change headspace.

I bought the Brownells Barrel extension torque tool  (similar to the Geissle reaction rod) for removing/installing barrel nuts, looks like it would work just fine on flash hiders as well?

Correct, no need to worry. The extension is torqued to 150 ft/lbs (IIRC) so it will take a lot to get it to move.

Lately I've just thrown them in the lathe and timed them directly to the barrel shoulder.

always clamp nearest what you are working on.  While the above tool may work, it is not the best idea.

A crush washer can be turned 1.5 revolutions after hand contact and still supply enough T on the FH to keep it tight.

Learned something here. I'll be installing a flash hider whenever the FH and barrel arrive.

I found my anti seize for the M/L breech plug but it's the low temp copper style by Permatex.Would a higher temp anti seize be desirable for a FH ?
