[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Upper Assembly build help

I am in the process of building my first AR. I am about to start the upper half but am not exactly sure what all I need. I want a 14.5" barrel and plan on getting the Diamondhead 10.5" TRS-T handguard. It will be on a Spike's lower with TAPCO buffer/stock and Stag LPK. As far as I know to build the upper half (not including tools) I will need the following:
Barrel
gas block/tube
stripped upper
Bolt carrier group and charging handle
handguard/barrel nut
flash hider

Anyone see anything else I will need?

As long as you have the details like barrel extension with m4 feed ramps and crush washer or shims for FH then sounds like your g2g. Good luck

Just want to make sure you know that the flash hider has to be pinned and welded.

If the upper has a a place for forward assist, you'll need one and a pin for it. You'll also need an ejection port cover kit.
