This is my second build, and I am going the way of a pistol. Still undecided if I want another .223 or go with a 9mm pistol. I was gonna go with an SBR, but right now with a 3 month old that $200 and ~1 yr wait is more of a luxury when I can keep it a pistol. So far all I have is the complete lower, and I will update as I decide what goes with it.
So far all it is sitting with Trading place pawn (local for me) forged lower CMMG LPK Phase 5 pistol buffer tube 
I'm also still undecided on the route for the upper. I built a 20" AR earlier in the year and got a completed upper, but I wouldn't be opposed to building one. Also still throwing out what brand and such. I know I could go with a red x arms, but I could also go a little higher grade with the whole setup and piece it out for a true Frankengun. As long as nothing stupid happens I hope to have it completed in a couple weeks. Any advice on the upper, complete/stripped, if red x is good or not, etc.. Hopefully it turns out like I am hoping. |

Well I was looking at uppers and I saw the MUR 1 without a FA and I started thinking about a nice streamlined appearance on the build without the FA. So I ordered that, a little pricier than some other options but oh well I hear a lot of good talk about VLTOR MURs. Now it is down to picking between a 7.5 or 10.5 barrel. Any suggestions? I saw a 10.3 DD that tempted me, but can't decide really. After I choose my barrel I'll at least be able to decide on the rail heh.
