I wasn't really sure if this is the place to post this, but here goes:

I sent my AR upper our for some work. A Battlecomp 2.0 was installed and pinned. At the base of the muzzle device it seems as though it does not thread all the way on the barrel to meet the painted area. So, there is a small bright chrome stripe around the barren at the base of the muzzle device. Also, the head of the pin on the muzzle device is bright chrome.

Yea, yea, I know this isn't life threatening, just aesthetically unpleasing and I don't know that I would ever try painting. But, is there a good way to paint this area that won't heat up and wear off? If so, how and with what?

Thanks,
Davis

If its not stainless, Super Blue. Cerakote would be the best answer but the engine enamel would work good.

Type C Cerakote.  Don't waisdt your time with automotive paints, they will not hold up to most cleaning solvents.

Excellent! Thanks for this.

If I cannot swing the Ceracoat,  has anyone ever tried that Subsist stuff?
