Perhaps my build will help, or perhaps not, but here goes any way, be gentle (I'm new here):



Stag Lower, Stag LPK with Ambi Selector, Rainier Arms Upper Combo (really like their Raptor Charging Handle), and Troy Ambidexterous Mag Release.  Didn't do anything special with the Bolt Catch till I try it out, but might select the DPMS Tactical one if I want something bigger to hit with my trigger finger.  I've selected the rest of the parts I'd like for my build as well, but I'm sure they will change somewhat, and what I listed are the only real components that should be of interest for a lefty build that would differ from a standard build.  As long as the upper has a brass deflector, which I think almost all of them do, he should be good to go with the port on the right side.
