This rail is a Parallax Tactical. It mounts to their barrel nut using 6 allen head cap screws. There seems to be almost no wiggle room to adjust the alignment of the tube, it is all done with the bbl nut. I'll try making a mark on some masking tape and see if I can just nudge it back. It doesn't look like I need to back off more than about 0.010" or so.
ETA: Got it. Backed it all the way off, and worked back up to it. Aligned up with no issues. |
| Back off the barrel nut and try again. You are not going to hurt anything. I have to do that several times for every YHM forend I have ever put on. If you go too far, just back it off and try again. Leaving it as is will drive you nuts if you are in the least bit OC, as I am. |

This is how I do it. I use a carry handle. Quoted:

Could always put something like a QD carry handle on the upper and rail to bridge them and align while you tighten up. That's what I did on my build. This is how I do it. I use a carry handle. Doesn't work on this style, you tighten the nut first then slide the handguard on to see if it lines up or not. Basically trial and error...... |
