Which ones should I be looking at. The magpul seem popular but which ones, It's the PTS i stay away from correct?

I have Troy BUIS. Tory HK tritium rear, HK front with Meprolight tritium post (like it better because it's thinner than the standard trijicon). Sure tritium isn't needed, but I like the whole circle in a circle sight picture.

The PTS are the airsoft side of it. Stay away from anything that is PTS or airsoft. I have the Magpul MBUS Gen 2 and I like them. If your rifle will never see combat, these are a great option. If you're going to beat up your rifle, these are great. The Troy's or really most metal BUIS are VERY good but some drop tests have revealed them to bend or lose zero.
