Bought the barrel and this brake/comp was on it and was wondering if it's worth keeping on or if I should replace it.  I have several comps sitting in a box that I an switch out to.

Do you like it?  That's all that matters.  Put some rounds through it and see what it does for you then make a decision.  If you want to change it out post what other comps/brakes/FH you have and a member could possibly save you some time by giving you some advice on which one to try first.

Not sure if I like it, I'm on disability until I go into surgery on the 18th.  If it's known to be effective I may just keep it, it not I'd like to know what I have in case I want to sell it.  It looks kind of cool, but never used a brake with this type of ports (helical dots).

The design doesn't look like it would really be good at anything to me. I could be very wrong it just looks like something designed to look neat instead of functioning.

I did a quick mock-up of what I kind of want the rifle to look like.  This is just based upon what I had in the bin.

This would go on an 18" Mid Length Spiral fluted 1n9 barrel.
Lower is a Seekins forged, ALG ACT trigger, White Oak LPK, BCM Mod 1 FDE grip, VLTOR Tan A1 modstock, Harris bi-pod.

Probably gonna use a different rail for this set up.

Options that I have sitting in my parts bin right now:
Rainier Arms XTC
BattleComp 2.0
Type 89 J-Comp Strike Industries (looked cool so I figured I'd try it haha)
DPMS Miculek Brake
A2 Flash Hider

If I need another brake let me know and I'll consider it.  I've been looking at the effin-A, or PWS FFC556.

Exactly what I was thinking.  It didn't look that effective in my opinion which is why I was wondering what it was haha.

Side note: Anyone got a grip that would match that Vltor A1 tan modstock?
