Hello all, I just wanted to share what I've got so far.
http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q700/hmaldonado2/20130829_153647_RichtoneHDR_zps5fd8a3dc.jpg AO upper, S&W M&P 15 lower, Spike's ST-FN 16" midlength barrel, Valley Armory BCG, Geissele SSA-E, KNS anti-rotational pins, Vltor Gunfighter charging handle, MagPul ASAP, BAD lever, Ergo grip, First piece I bought was the lower in 2010 and I've been slowly adding to her for 3 years now. She's going to be my home defense/shtf rifle. I want something reliable and accurate plus I want it to weigh as little as possible. I'm getting the upper, lower, and rail cerakote Tungsten. I have my mind set on a DD lite 10.0, but I'm not sure on the muzzle device or buis. How's she looking so far? |

Looking good bro. Go with the DD Lite 12". That way the gas block is totally covered, and you can put your forward grip and front BUIS up further. If not a suppressor host, just do a standard A2 flash hider. For BUIS I've always used Troy, but with their design change and recent lack of judgment, I'd say go with another proven one like KAC or PRI, or wait on the Magpul Pro, looks promising and should be out soon. All just my opinion, of course! Make sure and post more pics when she's done. Have fun!

| Right on, I'll keep in mind what you said about the 12.0 rail. Also, I'll be looking for when the mbus pro comes out. I just ran a search on geissele + kns pins, very touchy subject for some people. I bought the pins before I bought the SSA-E, I admit I didn't know any better. I'll probably not end up using the kns pins after all. |

Lately I've been using Centurion Arms rails a lot, the Centurion C4 for railed forends and the Centurion CMR for tubes.
I have used DD and they are good but I prefer to have the lower profile and sling attachments of the Centurion rails. |

DD is falling behind in rail innovation and design. While possibly the best at one time some of their offerings now look almost clumsy and awkward. |

The dd ris 2 and lite rails are great. That being said I do prefer the centurion and it is what I'm currently using. |

The gas tube is mid length. I might end up getting a melonited one for corrosion resistance before it's all said and done. The gas tube should already be stainless steel so corrosion isn't much of an issue. Most get the melonited version so they are less conspicuous under the handguard/rail. |

The more I see the centurion c4, the more i like it. It looks solidy built and very sturdy. DD rails look great as well, i expecially like the bolt up system they use. It is very solid. I've been beating mine up and throwing it around lately. Its still as solid as day one and my irons havent shifted a bit out to 100. Maybe if I could shoot further I could detect some poi shift but I probably don't shoot well enough to be able to tell anyway. As long as the rail let's me hold 4" groups with irons I'm satisfied . |
| Finally scored some crucial pieces for the build. I bought a KAC micro rear BUIS and ended up selling the extended gas block and going with the A.R.M.S. 41B. I like the look of the a2 sight with the option to fold down. Also scored a VLTOR A2 flash hider as well. And finally I was able to pick up a Centurion C4 FSB! Cant wait to get it all assembled. |
