Ok guys so I just built my first rifle and I am wanting to free float the barrel.. Now I know I'll prob get flamed for this but I do watch nutnfancys vids a bit cause I like some of his gear reviews.. Anyways he has some Old RRA ar he runs with a rail system I really like. He claims its DD lite rail but after checking their website it doesn't appear to be.. The DD lite rails don't show the barrel nut when mounted on the rifle as they are covered by the tube itself and also they are continuous on the upper part of the rail. His rail is not continuous and the barrel nut is visible. At first I though he was running an Omega rail because it looked like a delta ring but after some digging he clearly shows that the barrel is free floated and that the barrel nut is visible.. Anyone have any info on this? Possibly an older gen DD lite rail? Or is he just blowing smoke? Thnx

hey guys my bad i found the rail in annotations on youtuve.. evidentally it is a discontinued ar15 rail from brownells.. now if you excuse me im going to go curl up in the fetal position and cry for a while.. The 7" DD rail that would be the equivalent would be the Omega Rail. It free-floats using the standard delta ring. You can get them anywhere. (Damn, that Nutnfancy guy is a dork...  )

| Yeah Ty... I didnt want the continuous upper rail but ima get one anyway.. An I don't agree with everything he says but I don't think he's a dork lol.. He does some silly stuff but all around I don't think he's a bad guy.. I really like his knife reviews.. Watched those before I even built my first ar.. Also idk where he lives but it's beautiful I would love to have that much land |

If you don't need free-floating, then the DD EZ Car rail is a good option. Cheaper too. |
