Hey all -

This is my first post on this site but I have been lurking for quite some time now. I have wanted an AR-15 for a while but never had the money to afford it. Now that I recently graduated from college I am now able to afford a decent AR and just wanted to post on here to get some feedback.

As an engineer I knew I definitely wanted to build my own from scratch. I wanted to know exactly how all of the components functioned together in the event I was required to effectively troubleshoot down the road. Plus I get satisfaction from being unique - anyone can walk into their local gun store, slap $1000 down, and walk out with a rifle. I wanted to be a little different.

Anyway, I am still waiting on a few parts but I am pretty much finished with the build - here is how she sits today:

Installed Components:
DEZ Arms Lower Receiver,
DEZ Arms Lower Parts Kit
DEZ Arms DTA-4 Upper Receiver | M4 Feed Ramps, A2 Fixed front sight, A2 Flash-Hider  - Ordered as a completely disassembled unit
16" DEZ Arms Barrel | 4150 Chrome-moly Vandium, 1in9" twist
FDE MAGPUL CTR Complete Stock Assembly - Mil-spec
FDE MAGPUL MIAD Grip Kit w/second amendment/American flag burned in

Waiting to arrive:
Daniel Defense Delta Ring Quad Rail
FDE MAGPUL Rear MBUS Sight
FDE MAGPUL Vertical Grip

In the future:
FDE MAGPUL MBUS Front Sight
QD Scope Attachment
Scope
More PMAGS if I can find them in FDE!

And that about wraps it up. Feedback and comments are appreciated!

Thanks.

So far so good. Like I said I am pretty new to AR-15's so I don't know how great my judgment would be at this point in time, The components seem very well made and the local FFL that I picked up my Lower from could not say better things about the company. Apparently one of the few that make their own barrels? I couldn't find many reviews online but the ones I did find said they were great quality and very reasonably priced - and I respect and am happy to give my money to a company that isn't price gouging due to the current political climate.

Though once I fire the gun I will be able to give a more accurate description of quality.

Why do you say that? I would like to mount a scope/red dot and have the option to switch to iron sights and the flip up sights seem to be the best option for that set up

Good looking stick built my wife one that looks almost exactly like it, except for the rear site might want to flip that around LoL. Let us know how it shoots ours makes nice tight holes in paper and squirrels.

Other than the rear sight being on backwards, that's  great looking rifle. Be sure and post a range report and let us know how she shoots.
