I know what each do, but how do you choose one? Looks, price, reputation?
What makes the $400 knights armament better than the A2? I currently have a battlecomp and noveske pig, but I choose those based on popularity and no personal experience. How do you choose the tip if your gun? |

Compensators redirect gas at the end of the barrel and dispers it in a way to reduce recoil. The also help with muzzle rise and increase speed of follow up shots. The draw back here is they are loud to people next to you and I'm sure you have seen on your battlecomp, a huge fire ball. That's only bad if you want to stay hidden.
Flash hiders stop the fire ball but, like the A2, do almost nothing for recoil management and muzzle rise. It's basically personal preference. Some states don't even allowed threaded barrels to use these devises. Those rifles are just crowed like normal guns. So if you can use one its just you choice of use. Prices is based on the kind of steel used, and the finish stuff like that. But what you have will serve you well I think. |

Function
Reputation Price I am not familiar with the KAC, but I doubt it is significantly better for my purposes than a SEI Vortex. On the other hand I did decide the Vortex was enough better than the A2 to switch. There are some tests out there you will just have to search. |

All mine get Vortex or Phantom unless SBR.
Advantages: Cost, reduces flash to almost nothing, both pinnable to 14.5" to avoid SBR All SBRs get KX3 Advantages: Much more pleasant in tight spaces in terms of my perceived noise and those around me, flash suppression that's better than most people think after the first round burns the oil off I don't do brakes except for 7.62 and above. I haven't tried the battlecomp people seem to love, also the BCM comp looks promising I was thinking of trying that my next build. |
