Long story short, I have a few extra parts lying around and the addiction got to me so I decided to build a no-expense-spared AR.  I'm experimenting with a few unique part combinations and a few parts from a German AR manufacturer.  My goals for the build were as follows; complete ambi controls, ultra low recoil, extremely good flash suppression, extreme reliability and extreme accuracy.  I have countless hours of research in this build, and that combined with my knowledge of physics, I believe I will have reached the goals I set out to achieve with this gun when it is complete. Not only that, but it will look good doing it.  The name of the gun is the ARUCA1 which stands for: Advanced Reliability with Uncompromising  Control and Accuracy. I'm still waiting on a couple of vital parts and I will post a detailed range report when complete.  If you have and questions in general or why I chose a certain part or accessory please don't hesitate to ask.

Lower:
-Black Rain Ordnance stripped lower
-RRA lower parts kit (only used springs and detents)
-Phase 5 Tactical extended bolt release
-Battle Arms Development ambi safety selector
-KNS anti-rotation pins
-Noveske take down pins
-PWS enhanced buffer tube
-Spikes T2 buffer w/ flat wire, chrome silicon buffer spring AND JP silent captured spring (going to experiment on which to actually go with permanently)
-Magpul MIAD
-Magpul ACS
-Geissele SD-E trigger
-Seekins Precision mag release button

Upper:
-Hera Arms HUS upper (GERMANY) (INBOUND)
-Rainier Arms Raptor charging handle
-RCA black nitride bolt carrier
-JP enhanced bolt (INBOUND)
-Noveske 15" NSR KeyMod rail
-Rainier Arms 14.5" Ultramatch barrel (Shilen blank, 416 stainless, mid-length gas system, button rifled w/ ratchet rifling, hand lapped)
-Battlecomp 1.5
-JP gas tube and adjustable gas block
-Troy front grip

Sights:
-Troy flip-up sights

Optics:
-Aimpoint Micro H-1 (don't need the night vision capability)

Magazines:
-Magpul 30rd pmags
-Lancer Systems L5 20 rd mags
-Hera Arms windowed 30 rd mags (GERMANY) (INBOUND)

This is one of my first posts, I'm not really sure how a r15.com works yet.

Welcome. Looks like a nice build list and I look forward to seeing the progress. Post pics! :)

I assume you know you will either have to permanently attach your 1.5 comp to the end of the barrel via pin/welding or register as SBR?

I think I'm going to go ahead and register the lower, it's only $200 and then I have much more flexibility if I want to change barrel length or complete uppers.  In the mean time I am going to go ahead and pin and weld the Battlecomp so I can put it on any of my other lowers and for legality reasons until I get this lower registered...... I'm a bit confused how to post pictures. Can I not post them directly from my computer?

Okay so how exactly did you do that?  I know my guns inside and out..... my computers, not so much.

Holy image posting experimentation batman!

Just a pointer.. instead of attempting over and over.. you can either click "Preview" (right next to Submit in the editor) to see what it will look like.. or go back and edit your post (Edit button will be in the string of small buttons at the bottom of YOUR posts) until you get it right. If you edit your post after someone responds/quotes you, it is generally good form to put a note at the bottom of your post as to what you edited (edit: corrected image link   as an example).

You will get there eventually. Hopefully we can get your thread fixed soon so it doesn't span 10 pages of broken links. LOL

Use the geissele pins with the geissele trigger

Good build.

One question though. Why a Battle Comp for the flash suppression you talked about wanting in the first post?

I love Battle Comps but they aren't the best at suppressing flash. Get a Surefire FH or Vortex for that IMO.

On the topic of Hera. I really wish I could get my hands on a Hera HLS lower receiver in the states. Heck, even an 80% lower would suffice.

You've got a great parts list coming a long. Can't wait to see the completed project!

Roughly what do you think you will have into the completed rifle with optic?

My rail extends over the Battlecomp which will suppress any remaining flash from the Battlecomp.  I will also be using flash suppressant powders when reloading.
