When I was shopping for my Colt M4 last Fall, I saw that Walmart  had been bringing in some Magpul editions of the Colt and Sig carbines. Thought at some point it might be nice to have one. So, my latest "build" became one.

Note: Build in quotes, I didn't get to do too much with this one. The completed lower with M4 stock and grip came from PSA (would have cost more to buy the parts), and the upper receiver is an assembled PSA blem (barely blem at all). So all I did on this one was install the barrel, gas tube and front sight spring/detent and post, and swap out the CTR and MOE+ grip and shoulder stock for the M4 versions.

PSA Complete lower, PSA blem upper, Milspec Magpul CTR stock, MOE+ grip, MOE fore end on a non-chrome lined barrel from ESS, BRB bolt carrier, Bison bolt, Gunfighter Mod 4 Ch and MOE MBUS. The Eotech is on loan from my Colt (which is currently wearing my RRA'a Aimpoint Pro). I need more optics, currently sharing this Eotech and an Aimpoint Pro between 3 carbines and one AR pistol. I think this one may end up with another Aimpoint Pro.

Parts incoming already for build 4, BRD in full swing.

I like it ! Very simple and effective. Maybe add a light mount to the Moe hand guard and install a Surefire Scout.

Yeah, I don't have lights on any of the carbines yet. That needs to change, thinking of either the Scout or an X300 Ultra for at least one of them. I do have an X200B on a Kimber Desert Warrior, and a TLR1 on an 870. So I do have options, but not in a fighting carbine.

My next build will be decked out a bit more with a free float rail, LP gas block, SOPMOD stock and some other goodies (thinking possibly an AAC suppressor).

Well, I mentioned the light for that carbine to complete it for a go to carbine, in the middle of the night. It's simple, lite and effective.

Thanks, actually I'm going even simpler than that. I ordered an offset mount (lever, not sure of the quality but it will probably be temporary) and will put my OD Green G2 Nitrolon on it as soon as the mount gets here (I have a new Quad Rail system for it inbound on Wednesday, decided not to stay with the MOE guards). Probably end up with the Sure Fire X300 Ultra in the not too distant future. Need lights for most of the Carbines really, so I can make each of them an option.
