Anyone have an issue with CMT lower not matching the upper?

My upper appears to be grey compared to my lower

The lower appears to be the Billet.  The upper I assume is forged since as far as I know the Billet has not been released yet.  Probably manufactured at different places and their finishes are a bit different.  Just my best guesses since I am no where near an expert.

Hard to tell from just that one picture it could just be the angle.  They look pretty close to matching at the back by the buffer mount.

Have you tried putting some oil on the upper?  They can sometimes get a little grey if they dry out.

Lube the upper & it will darken. Not that there's a problem in its current state.

Just oil bake it or soak in clp and place it in a baggy for a few days she'll darken up and match a lot better then......
