guys wondering what would be better way to get my upper done would like 16" midlengh with low pro no rails i was eyeing this from bcm
BCM
Now my question is should i purchase this one and then send it out to get low pro gas block install / pinned ?
Or at this point should i just start from scratch and build my own ?
my only concern with building my own is i am going to have to send it back out to get head spacing checked
thanks would like to know what you guys think or suggestions

It's more rewarding to build it yourself, I personally never ran into head spacing issues on any of my builds.

You'll get more of the parts you want and might save some money, if your going for a budget build, if you build it yourself. Are you trying to free float it or stay with two piece handguards?

If you going with free floating the handguards you have to make sure the barrel nut with accomodate the handguards you buy. Also if you are planning on shaving the FSB down and free float you will have to remove either the barrel nut or cut the D-ring apart with the springs inside.

If your patient you can find all the parts that are pictured there for probably less and plus you get the gratification of having an AR you built yourself.

My two cents
