Put 500+ rounds through my new build yesterday. Today I pulled the thing apart to clean/inspect it. When looking at the bolt I noticed the cam pin is wore down and the finish is gone in some parts. If I drag my finger nail over I can feel groves/pits in it. Is this normal or Do I have an issue? The BCG is a BCM running in a BCM 14.5+1.5 with a mid length gas system.

Having the finish wear off on the cam pin is normal. Wearing down to the point that it forms a groove may not be. I agree that pics would help. Was the bolt assembly well lubed?

If you run your fingernail over the lower part of the silver area it will snag like a grove is starting to form.

Yes it was well lubed with slip 2000 EWL.

I like to see parts worn in. That means its not a safe queen.

Normal, What makes the BCM's look more worn than others is the parkerizing is on everything so thick (That's a good thing) that when you shoot it it wears away
quick on the surfaces that take the most abuse, making them look more worn at a quicker rate.
