Aero precision lower
RRA standard lpk trigger guard

There is enough space between the trigger guard edges, front and back, and the receiver location to allow it to slide side to side enough to hear a rattle. My RRA lower/RRA NM lpk don't do this. Anyone have a wider space for the trigger guard on your AP lower?

The spring-loaded detent pin should not allow it to rattle at all. It should be applying constant pressure against that pin holding it in place.

Incorrect, the detent applies no pressure in a way to keep the trigger guard from rattling.

I would guess that a slightly loose or rattling trigger guard could be considered normal.

My Magpul Enhanced is nice and tight but my Spikes has a little rattle so who knows and really who cares??

The trigger guard roll pin is larger than the hole in the trigger guard; it should keep the guard from moving laterally.  On the other hand, are we talking about "being able to move" or rattling with simply moving the gun around?  There should be enough lateral clearance for easy pivoting of the guard when the plunger at the front is released, but again the roll pin should make that movement firm, not loose and wobbly.

why accept a loose part as normal?  why not have a tight fit an all possible locations....although some here dont like the pistol grips with integrated trigger guards, i like mine for precisely the reason you identified

That is a modification to the Magpul trigger guard, not a trigger guard itself. Like the description says, very useful if you broke one of your ears off of you lower when installing the roll pin, which is why I press mine in applying pressure to both sides rather than use a punch...
