i have not yet put my upper together because i am waiting on parts. i have a bcm lightweight 14.5 barrel and a bcm comp. the comp comes pre drilled and with a pin for the install. i attched the flash hider just to see how far i would have to drill. to make the pin flush i will have to drill close to 3/4 of the way into the barrel. I am worried about the amount of room for error. i guess i should just go slowly and drill a little at a time until the pin is flush. does anyone have any pointers on how to do this since i will not be able to see the barrel as i go.

I would figure out the wall thicknesses measurement for the barrel where the hole drilled into compensator meets the barrel; I'm guessing its over the threaded portion of the barrel? The pin could possibly just need to be trimmed after install if its protrudes.

yes it is over the threads. trimming the pin would probably be the best option. so i wouldnt have to drill very far.

Definitely trim the pin.  Last thing you want is to go just too far.

yeah I do not want to take a chance of ruining the barrel.

How long did it take adco to get your gun back?

Turn around was four days. They are fast, good and inexpensive. Just remember to have a barrel nut and gas block on it when you ship it to them.
