So I got a complete upper assembly w/o BCG or CH. I had it sitting around for awhile until I got to messing w/ it. When I put a detachable carry handle on the upper, I noticed the whole front sight assembly is not straight. It's slightly to the left (1130 position rather than dead on 1200). My concern is that the FSB is centered on the gas hole in the barrel, meaning that the gas hole was not drilled straight. If that's the case I'm screwed. Anyone think I should take the FSB off and try to straighten or just get it back to the company and see if they cover it.

Canted FSBs happen.

Your best bet is to shoot it and make sure it functions and then consider putting a freefloat over it that aligns to the flat top receiver to ensure you have a sight which is vertical.

I wouldn't start to take it apart before I talked to the company I bought it from...

Most I've seen are canted slightly right (maybe one or two degrees).
