I have searched the World Wide Web and come up with little info on the subject. Can I shave down my railed gas block just like the fsb's are being done? I don't see why not, but I was wanting to hear from someone that has actually done it or seen it done before I spent the coin on a ff handguard.

Because I know I won't have any issues re-installing the one that came on the gun. I'm also a tight wad and with today's climate have to save any money I can on this gun hobby to keep the boss off my back.

You don't have to remove it, which makes reinstallation super easy!
do you have a hack saw, steel files, dremel, grinder or belt sander?

I taped my barrel and covered the rest of the upper and threw it into a vise and milled it down. No issues with doing that or grinding it off.
