Hey guys.
Im not new to AR's but I am new to taking them apart. Im trying to swap from a YHM Diamond Specter length to a Troy Alpha 13". My problem is that I have a 14.5 inch goverment profile barrel with a Troy Midevial brake pinned on, with a Troy low profile gas block. My problem lies in getting the barrell nuts swapped. They will go over the brake alright but it will not pass over the gas block. Cal the barrell extension be taken off and would that even help me? Any suggestions aside from sending it out and having the brake removed/reinstalled? Im not willing to do that part myself.. Any help would be great. |
