I am gathering parts for my first AR build and I have a line on a never used Daniel Defense 16" 1:7 M4 barrel at a reasonable price. The barrel is stamped with what I believe is the mfg date of 06/08. Does anyone know if this barrel is the same as what Daniel Defense currently sells, or have there been improvements over the past few years? Would this barrel be CHF and MP tested? Should I go for this one or look for something else?

| FWIW, the week before SHOT show I called Daniel Defense twice on two differnet days and got through both times. During my morning commute, I put the phone on speaker and let it ring. I expected it to time out and disconnect, but it didn't. It rang for probably 15-20 minutes until someone picked up. Same technique worked for me twice. Good luck. |
