I am attempting to install an ambidexterous selector.  However, i can not remove the existing selector.  The machined shoulder will not clear the trigger not allowing the selector to slide out.

Does anyone have a fix not involving a large hammer?

remove your trigger if its in the way

eta: cock the hammer and put the selector on safe and see if it slides out, im not sure why it would be catching

eta2: you did take the grip, spring, and detent out right?

then i would remove trigger to insure it is out of the way and safe, and that means nothing else left, may be a bur holding it up and you may have to give it a little tap
