Doing my first build, just ordered a 450BM upper. Have a stripped LRB lower for which I am selecting parts ala carte. I was wondering about the buffer for a rifle length extension. From what I read, people seem to be selecting heavier buffers for their 450BM carbine builds. I was wondering if the same would apply to a rifle build in the same caliber. There seems to be no selection for heavier rifle buffers. Would an AR10 buffer be an option? does any one know if there is a weight difference between an AR10 and an AR15 rifle buffer? What parameters would require a heavier buffer? My personal requirement is to tame recoil for quick follow up shots on hi speed targets of the porcine variety.
